Posted by Donovan M. Dela Cruz It is an honor and privilege to represent the good people of Council District II on the Honolulu City Council. During the past three years, I have focused on improving the quality of life for our island residents. Transportation, waste disposal, public safety, land use and community planning are among the many issues we discuss and debate as we work toward solutions. In addition, my staff and I take pleasure in serving our constituents by letting the City administration know when pot holes need to be filled, park equipment needs to be repaired, signs needs to be repainted, bus stops need to be rebuilt, and many other important concerns. We have accomplished much in Mililani Mauka for the last three years: Secured additional construction funding for the Comfort Station at Mililani Mauka Community Park Grand Opening, November 12, 2005 Property Tax Relief Proposals Bill 6 (2004) County Tax Credit. This ordinance would make the county tax credit available for more homeowners by raising the incoming ceiling and lowering the tax liability threshold for homeowners. Please feel free to contact me directly at 547-7002 if you have any questions or concerns. Donovan M. Dela Cruz Honolulu City Council Chair Donovan M. : Next election remember what Donavan
: Dela Cruz has done for Mililani. Not
: much of anything! Donavan or
: "Norm" has not been able
: to get us a bus system in Mililani.
: How can other districts have buses
: run through their towns when we have
: a much larger population. We pay
: more in property and income taxes
: than most districts. Oh yeah, we do
: still have that stupid Trolley that
: run's limited hours. Also, as others
: have said, Donovan has not said much
: about this property tax hike. Then
: again he doesn't say much at all
: about any issue. You notice he trys
: to stay under the radar on almost
: everything? Yeah, he's done a lot of
: good for us by taking credit for
: other people's projects.
