It may be paranoia...but approx. 2 weeks ago on a weekday, I noticed an SUV drive through my cul-de-sac, turn around, and drive away. What got my attention was that there was 4-5 guys (male) in the SUV. I was outside cleaning my garage out and took notice of the event, but not the specifics (license plate, etc).
If you don't already know by now, get to know your neighbors and the vehicles they drive. ALWAYS be aware of what's happening on your street, either during the day or night. It helps to have someone around during the day (like I am) who works the swing shift. I leave my vertical blinds partially open at night so I can see the outside of the window.
Window locks are a good device that may slow the advancement of a burglar. More later.
