I have happy memories of Austria. :-)
Vienna (Liska on the Hoher Markt, and lots of others: http://www.yellowmap.at/YM/Poi/Poi.aspx?Zip=101&Town=Wien&CategoryText=Shopping&BC=1940&BranchBC=Pelze&Radius=20000) and Linz have very nice fur stores; you may also remember some of the Linz photoseries that have been linked to recently from this board, e.g. http://www.cityfoto.at/galerie/1066/12/744/3/. All major cities have fur stores.
If my recent visit to Paris is anything to go by, you're bound to see Italian tourists in fur, although mostly limited to trims, collars, cuffs and hoods in this time of the year. (My winter visits to Salzburg have only been topped by Italy itself, furwise.)
