sometimes i have just put a small bowl of food in front of the resident at one time. when he finishes that the aide or myself puts the glass of juice of the next food item in front of him. i think meal time should be a social time, try putting him with some higher level people so he can visit - unless he shovels food in his mouth and talks lol... i find that they don't shovel food in so quickly if they are visiting.
