I am asking because I do not own a DVcam and thinking of renting one to capture my analog footage - I do not want to use the RT2500 anymore for capturing analog.... If I rent a Sony TRV240, does it do a good job at converting my S-VHS into DV or will I get a much better picture from the conversion done off a Canon GL 1 ? Thanks

Need your expert opinion - As you know, you are able to convert analog to DV using some DVCams out there with external sources such as a VCR, etc.....
I know that image quality can vary from one camcorder to another, when in camera mode..... what about different dvcams that offer A/D conversion using S-video in ?
