Thanks! No I have not found a solution. Matrox want $$$ just to talk to them. My last support call cost over $100 in international phone charges alone. I may have to finish up my last projects on my old box and say goodbye to Matrox. They have a ton of newsgroup postings on their forums assuring that the G400flex3D card will work in P4 systems with 1.5v AGP slots, but obviously at least some will not and they don't seem to want to deal with it. As I am not doing editing much anymore $800 for the upgrade is too rich for me, plus I will have to buy a new video card as the G400flex3D will not work in my new system and their upgrade suggests. I don't know, maybe I should break down and buy the support token so I can hear it straight from the horses mouth. Sorry, didn't mean to vent.
: Hi,
: I have the same problem, and was
: wondering if you figured out the
: problem.
: My BIOS settings has:
: Video: PCI or OnBoard/AGP (Tried
: both)
: Plug and Play: Auto or Manual (Tried
: both)
: AGP Aperture: Auto or 8/16/32/64Meg
: (Tried auto and 64Meg).
: Installed: Sequence:
: -Tried both cards (with and w/o
: cable): No video
: - Installed PCI codec: XP Home
: recognized and installed the driver.
: But I couldn't install MVT3.1 as
: Windows errored "cannot detect
: RT200". I am guessing it can't
: detect the AGP video card.
: Maybe some kind experienced guru can
: help.
: Thanks

: Thanks. I tried all those things.
: The
: card is acting like it isn't getting
: power.

: If you go into the BIOS, you will
: find
: a setting somewhere that says which
: bus to give priority to when it comes
: to video. Like it will say start AGP
: first or start PCI first. Make sure
: that that is set to AGP. If that
: does not do anything, I would suggest
: moving the PCI card around to other
: slots and see if that makes a
: difference. Also, it's worth
: changing the setting
: "Plug-and-Play OS" to the
: opposite of what it's currently set.
: Hope one of these helps! Cheers!
