I tried to install Canopus Procoder Express and during the install I got some
warnings that some files were being checked for virus-like properties by my
norton antivirus software. (I had forgotten to disable the antivirus during
the install.)
I disregarded the warnings and the install proceeded in fits
and starts after flagging about a dozen files during the install. At the end
of the install, the computer froze and had to be turned off and back on.
I noticed that Procoder Express had installed but not the DivX Pro software that comes with it. I
tried to repair the install but it made no difference. Then I tried to
uninstall the whole thing and start again, but now Windows XP doesn't
uninstall the software from its add/remove program list and the software's
own uninstall option doesn't remove the software. I am currently unable to
completely uninstall the software or reinstall it.
What can I do to clean off the software from my system and then reinstall it correctly?
As it is, the program is currently useless since I can't even start it (there are no start menu items for it at all).
Thanks for any advice.
