Jerky IEEE-1394- capture RT2000/W2K/Premiere 6.0

I have a broblem capturing video with firewire. Signal goes thru ok, and i can see a clear picture in tv, but after pushing record, picture and sound changes unusable jerky. Broblem do not consist earliar.
