inscriber rolling text

I want to roll some text using premiere 6.5 and matrox rt2000. I have left a space on my timeline, hit the new and then hit the inscriber TE Rt title. When it opens up I hit the roll tab then proceed to type in some text and save. However when I introduce the saved text and import it back to the timeline it shows the red render line which incidentally crashes the programme when I attempt to render. It will allow me to use and import the file when I choose not the roll button but the still button. So, What am i doing wrong? Hoping for an answer by return. Happy new year to everyone and thanks.
