I have both and RT2000 and a 2500. Just got the 2500 a month or so back, and have had a couple of problems, but nothing major. One of the primary capture problems is that the system will not recognize my Sony GV-300 miniDV deck, which the 2000 sees fine. It will capture from my JVC miniDV camcorder, however. The problem with that is that the camcorder tends to clog the heads fairly quickly, so I can't depend on it for long captures. In device manager, when I unplug the 1394 cable from the camcorder and plug it into the deck, the camcorder driver driver disappears but doesn't reappear, as it does when I do that on the 2000. The other thing is that with my Digital 8 camcorder I have device control, but when I try to capture I get an error message saying there's no tape in the camcorder (though there is) and it couldn't locate the in point. This happens on both systems, which is doubly strange as I captured many hours of video on the 2000 with that camcorder several months ago. I've posted this at Matrox and haven't had any reply. Any of you gurus have an idea of what's going on? The OS on both is Win2000, and both machines were turn-key units from Matrox approved resellers, and I haven't messed with any settings. TIA
