Trying to get my RT 2000 up and running again with Matrox Tools 3.0. Won't work with Premiere 5, though manual says it will. Tracked down a tryout copy of Premiere 6 (not easy - Premiere Pro is being pushed to exclusion of others), which loaded successfully and would run. Then, having sorted out DMAs, no disk caching etc, loaded Matrox Tools 3.0. Now when I try to start Premiere it gets as far as loading the Matrox avi importer, and then quits back to the desktop. Trying to run Matrox Media Tools directly from the start list does no more than put up the splash screen - then quits to desktop. Uninstalled Matrox Tools, tried Premiere, started up agin fine. Problem known? Any suggestions? Only answer to go back to Premiere 5 with Matrox Tools 1 or 2? Seems a bit unreasonable... Your thoughts and experience would be appreciated.
