We share the same lineage. My line runs through Tobias Sizemore, Mahala's brother.
: I have many friends that I have met on
: line and in person that are of NA
: Blood. Some are even card carriers.
: To be a card carrier would be a grt
: honor, but also is just a way for
: the white gov. to keep track of
: where and who we all are. I know in
: my heart that I am of NA descent,
: although there is no proof as all
: records were destroyed in CH fires.
: Ever wonder why so many courthouses
: caught fire? Was a way to get rid of
: evidence. Also the fact that my line
: of Sizemores left NC 3 yrs before
: the forced removal, would suggest
: that maybe they knew what was going
: to happen. And the chances of
: survival fitting in as a white
: family were far greater then
: surviving the Trail.
: Although I cannot prove to the gov.
: or any tribe who I am. I am Honored
: to know who and what I am. My goal
: is just to find where my N/A Blood
: came from and from which tribe I
: desc.
: My ggg grandparents were Mahala
: Sizemore b 1811 NC and Abijah
: Baldwin b 1808. Mahala Sizemore d/o
: Edward B Sizemore and Annie B
: Baldwin. Any help in this family
: would be greatly appriciated.

: I was just wondering if anyone has
: had
: any success joining the Cherokee or
: Creek tribes. I have traced my
: lineage back to Goldenhawk but I
: have discovered that an ancestor had
: to sign either the Dawes Roll or the
: Baker Roll in order to enroll. These
: signings occurred around 1900, so
: Goldenhawk would have been deceased.
: If there is any chance of enrollment
: one of his offspring must have
: signed one of the rolls. Any help is
: appreciated.
