Hello... I am also a descendent from George Al "Golden Hawk" Sizemore. I do not know many relatives on the Sizemore side... I have been trying to do research as well. I was wondering if any of you know the parents of Golden Hawk? If not... I may have some new information for you. Golden Hawk was actually Powhatan... He is the son of the Powhatan War Chief Opechacanough and Mary Alice Sizemore (there are more Mary Alice's... she was the first to arrive in America) She was captured by Opechacanough in 1622 in a raid on Jamestown and was first his prisoner and later became his wife. Their first and I believe only child was Golden Hawk... She wanted him to have a Christian name as well.. George Al. He left the Powhatans in his late teens and met his wife Aggy.. Who is suppose to be the daughter of a Cherokee chief who was taken captive by a white couple named Cornett. I am trying to find out who Aggy's parents where... but have been met with difficulty. I would love to hear from any and all who are Sizemores.
