It is what it is. But to put it in perspective, Everton brought on 5 subs when they were flagging and (IMO) on the back foot. One was Seamus Coleman, the other 4 cost a combined £95m. When they spent that £95m (of Russian stooge money - another issue) they knew they were breaking the rules and they got away with it.

We brought on andros Townsend (£0), luke berry (£200k) and cauley Woodrow (£500k max).

And that is the difference and that is why it does matter and why it is cheating. It’s not even smalll margins. It’s the difference. Ditto Nottingham forest and Chris wood. Ditto Aston villa and their match winning subs.

At least we’re having fun. Literally what is the point of Everton. 20+ years of utter joylessness.
