FA cup semi at Villa park n my 13th birthday. My first experience of a big match atmosphere. Seemed to be twice as many Everton fans waving flags and throwing streamers. We were robbed, if they didn’t have big Nev in goal Ricky would’ve had two goals instead of one. It was never a free kick
Agreed mate,i was there to,definatly robbed.Brilliant day apart from the result.Mental in the pubs beforehand,the old bill were trying to get us luton out of one pub as they were nicking people left right and centre for absolutly nothing,the pub i was in lads barricaded the doors and took over the pumps,free beer for everyone,great memories
We ended up in a scrap in coventry on the way home,bout 15 of us in a pub when bloody shit loads of them turned up,few minor injuries and one lad in hospital,we were massively outnumbered and outside the pub they came from everywhere with beer glasses etc,the pub windows were put in before we left,fighting all the way back to the coach and in the car park when we got back to it.someone in the pub must have tipped them off cause honestly so many of them came from everywhere. Cant believe that was nearly 40 years ago.
Definatly did have mate lol,shame we had split up in coventry,if we all had been together would have had a lot better go but we were massively outnumbered,.Yeah luton and coventry back in the day had quite a few offs haha.Take care mate,nice chatting.COYRRH
