Looking back into the our old Non League days this season

We will see a brand new club enter the Football League for the first time.

Either one from Manchester, Birmingham or London in the form of Altrincham, Solihull Moors or Bromley.

All 3 clubs because of location could do rather well in League 2 because of their handy location.

I personally hope it is Altrincham as they've been up the top of non league on and off for decades.

Altrincham only missed out on being elected to the league in 1980 because our chairman Dennis Mortimer turned up late for the vote and Grimsby's chairman went to the wrong room. Both were going to vote for Altrincham but their absence meant that Rochdale won by one vote and stayed in the league.

Altrincham, Solihull Moors and Bromley aren't brand new clubs.

What do you mean by them doing well because of their handy location?

Do you always look to have an argument?

Clearly the point is a club will be promoted into the FL fir the first time in their history.

What do you think? Do you not think Manchester, Birmingham and London will mean easier to get to away games and more away fans coming to them? Plus in large conurbations that could well pick up more local support.

There, that wasn't difficult to figure out was it you.

Hope it’s Altrincham too as it will be a net gain of grounds for me (been to Alty and Chesterfield, been to Forest Green but not Sutton).

i was hoping Barnet would and surprised they got crushed!
Brennan has done a decent job finishing 2nd with that budget.

He could get a decent job in FL.

I hope Altrincham too. For me they have always been a permanent fixture in the conference!
