On our budget and business model, was only ever going to be about astute recruitment.
We haven't failed at any level. What we have done is give our nomad fans , great away days at great stadiums and a taste of the best league in the world. Not forgetting the clubs financial windfalls.
And bring cash back in the stadium as an option for programmes and food and the club shop.
And if we had hindsight (which we don't) Would of had Joe Taylor at Lincoln or in L1 on loan for the season, so we could of recalled him after we lost Brown and Elijah
The turning point was Eli getting injured, he's such an awkward player to deal with and epl defenders aren't used to playing against that type. I honestly think we'd be at least 6 points better off if he'd stayed fit
Also losing Brown and Ogbene has been a big loss. In a 3-4-2-1 system they were great in the two behind the striker.
Their pressing and work rate was exceptional which meant we were winning the ball higher up the pitch. Also their pace meant we always looked dangerous on the counter.
