    Everton

Just seen a YouTube video of their new ground …it looks very decent and also looks like it will be ready for next season.
Wish we were in a similar position ( only ground wise I hasten to add).
I have always been behind having it in the town centre but it does bring its problems with the moving of the power station, the river etc. No idea on finances but wonder if we had chosen somewhere a bit easier if we could be playing there now.

As below it seems a long way from being ready.

I said before access looks terrible as everyone has to come from the same direction – there’s water on two sides and some waterfront industrial sh!t on another.

Also the nearest train station (Sandhills) looks more like a busway stop. There’s plans for an upgrade but that could take years.

By contrast Power Court will have the best (non-car) access in the country. In between two major train stations, busway access, huge bus terminus and can even fly in and get the Dart.

It’s no further ‘out of town’ than Goodison is. I walked past it, and into Liverpool city centre just over a month ago.

As an aside it’s nowhere near completion.

It's not due to be open until 25/26 earliest and they don't have the finance to complete.

Being town centre is and always has been at the heart of the 2020 vision.

I know that and agree it preferable….just seems to be going on forever.

Dunno, but a reasonable educated guess would be around the 25/26 26/27 mark? Build, I'm led to believe, will be quite rapid once groundworks are completed - and they're under way.

Yes, first date ambitious admittedly. Second pretty doable. I think you know I'm quite tuned in on this through various channels - as far as I know there are no 'secret schedules' (there may be of course!) and the messages and vibe coming out is all upbeat and positive.

Maybe the people behind such rumours have their own agendas - there are such still hovering around.

Expect more like it until real progress is seen and a completion date announced. Surely they have a date in mind. They seem content to just throw out an occasional note telling us of all the problems they have to overcome. By now one would have expected step by step dates when certain targets were to be reached. Instead the supporters are treated like mushrooms. Kept in the dark and fed on shit.
