The reaction from some people is beyond comical. It’s as if they’ve never watched sport before and clearly haven’t played it. Those of us who have played sport will know that sometimes you turn up and for no obvious reason you have an absolute mare. Those of us who have watched sport before may recall games when for some reason things click and Brighton get beaten 4-0 by little old Luton Town.
To be honest I expected results like yesterday would have far more frequently this season. It was a bad day at the office. When we were in the Championship we had some days where it just didn’t work out (remember Chong tearing us a new one?) and the talent/financial differential in the Premier League is even greater.
Our belief and team spirit has got us this far, so let’s not throw the towel in yet. We will probably still get relegated, but let’s not act like a bunch of ‘doughnuts’ about it.
PS - when Joe said “doughnuts” we all know he meant “cunts” right??
Well said. It's utterly embarrassing. Must of the time I'm proud of our lot but the fannying since fans started to leave early yesterday had been very pathetic.
Supporting Luton Town is not the same as going to the cinema to watch a film that turns out to be a bit rubbish. How can those who leave early call themselves supporters? How are they showing their so-called 'support'?
Surely suppoprting the team and the club should be through both the good times and the bad, otherwise you're no better than a glory-hunting plastic fan - only there for the good times.
Turn it in you patronising cock. 40 years of watching this club. If I choose to leave early, that's up to me. You only live once. If I choose to go back to the pub with my mates instead of watching some shite football match, I'll do that.
