We are not quite good enough to stay up.

It’s almost becoming monotonous ( since we lost Adebayo) of players like Barkley winning the ball, and absolutely zero movement in front of him.
Morris runs his nuts off , but again we have no one that can play off his shoulder…
Today was a mystery to me , the players just didn’t look up for it.
Not being defeatist, but common sense says to me after today, we are down.
Let’s start rebuilding for next season( I’m sure 20/20 are doing just that)

When Edwards mentions in his interview “lack of urgency” in a 5 game season, alarm bells should be ringing. It’s not good enough.

Haven’t been many games in the last 10 years where I have real disappointment and anger in the group of players, but to not be up for it at this stage of the season is beyond not good enough.

They have a lot of credit in the bank, but they looked disjointed and in some cases a little disinterested. They look a shadow of the team from the Autumn and early winter. One of those occasions if BFJ was in charge, he’d be getting into them tonight.

Agreed

The players have credit. Unfortunately, they lost a lot of that today. An appalling showing bearing in mind what was/is at stake

I’ve been feeling for a few weeks that we haven’t been giving some players some tough love.

Our support has rightly been unconditional and for long periods of the season the players have stepped up to the mark, but not when you have a performance as inept and abject as today.

There’s been a lot of talk about togetherness this season and how it’s helped us (and get through the leagues). Honestly, since Mengi got into Barkley at the Emirates, they haven’t looked a happy group. After that game there was the players meeting where the air had to be cleared.

Part of me thinks something has happened behind closed doors. Another part of me wonders have agents been getting into ears and other players are getting wind. I’m hugely speculating, but some of the disorganisation I saw on the pitch today, something feels wrong.

Surely the agents thing is just part and parcel and goes on in every dressing room up and down the country.
Can see it being quite a turbulent summer should we go down.

Maybe they’ve had enough. Edwards looked utterly drained, bereft almost.

If that’s the case, I really do wonder how.

A lot of me is thinking that the amount of game time and injury situation is really taking its toll. Barkley has gone off the boil a fair bit since Newcastle… I think he is well overdue a rest, but we’ve got no backup.

We are not yet down. Our problems have been defending all season. Attack wise Chong does okay now. Ogbene has been a loss. Stupid to let him play for Ireland in a friendly with our luck. Today could be rock bottom so the only way is up

February relegated us. It went as bad as it could possibly have done. From that position of strength at Newcastle right up until the moment before we equalised against Palace. We fucked it

I thought Morris was really good today along with Chong and Kaminski

I also thought it was a right bonus that Lokonga and Osho were available today. But it didn't work out well at all. Too much starting them perhaps?

Giving up that lead at SJP me the lead at Bournemouth are the two stand outs. RE has to take the blame for both those results. We simply should’ve left both games with three points.

We all Love him, but sometimes his lack of pragmatism in this league baffles me.

As I say, Edwards and the players have a lot of credit in the bank. They're all learning. But we've been our own worst enemy at times

Throwing that performance in yesterday was a right shock to the system. Still shaking my head thinking about it

Just can not see us recovering
