Going to be honest. As much it's been great how we've competed this season and gained admirers. If we stayed up what would next season be like? Would we just be whipping boys basically ?

We’ve improved on last season’s result for like a dozen seasons in a row and there is no reason we wouldn’t continue doing that. The start of the season was awful until the players grew into the PL and the last part has been pretty bad with half the squad injured. A new chance would probably give us a better start and I find it hard to believe we would get as many injuries. Next season could be a lot of fun.

              Strange one for me, this.
On a personal level, I'm not bothered if we do go down. And yet, what do I want us to do go down - go up again. At least we'd have something to play for, rather than being in a division where we can all pick one of five teams likely to win the league and all the others - like us - are basically there to give them a game.
As a very old supporter (first game v Bristol Rovers 1961 or 1962) football in the top division has been spoilt by the Premier League / Sky Sports / EUFA:
              Money buys success.
              Cup competitions devalued.
Foreign players/managers/owners, no better than we could produce if given time, is that why the national team have never won anything since 1966?
Rich get richer, poor get poorer.
Hardly any media interest in lower divisions - look at teletext if anyone still bothers, any "gossip news" is 90% the "top 6 big clubs".
Players complaining too many games, back in the day it was always the first team playing.
Such mixed feelings, I want us to stay up but I dunno!
              Rant over, COYH.

Decent post and pretty much how I feel, my main and one of the only reason's for wanting to stay up is just so we can raise a middle finger to everyone that wrote us off so quickly. Otherwise from a personal point of view I don't really care, for the first time ever we are coming into the crunch point of a season and i have zero nerves. I genuinely do think I prefer the championship/L1 football experience.

Given all the money is done save for the future parachute payments, another season and another 100m would really set the club up for a few years to come and to bounce back up if we were to go down. So at least one more season please for me
