Everton/Forest appeals
Posted by PHS on 17/4/2024, 13:23:27
So Everton and Forest appeals will be heard JUST AFTER they meet each other in a relegation battle.
The announcement of Forest's punishment for cheating was deferred until JUST AFTER they played us in a relegation battle.
Everton's second punishment for cheating was deferred until JUST AFTER they played Burnley in a relegation battle.
Conspiracy theorists may subscribe the possibility that each highly important and impactful announcement could be moulded to suit the outcomes of the matches.
Not helped by the PL's silence over the complete lack of evidence that 777 has the requisite funds to cover Everton's current footballing debts, let alone their debts to 'ordinary' creditors. Many other clubs could be affected if transfer installments are not met, which could be the case if they fall into administration. Surely, the PL has a duty to those football debtors to get this sorted one way or another before the season's end if only to preserve a few extra £million being paid to their lenders in interest payments.
According to this article, Everton's interest charge on just ONE of their many borrowings is about £440K per week .. per week! Delaying a decision until, say, the end of June would run up their interest debt by another £4.5m just to that one lender.
What an absolute shambles that club is. They deserve to be relegated purely out of gross incompetence in terms of managing a football club.
It also makes me wonder how these supposed business men who have the money to buy football clubs made their money in the first place as many of them seem so utterly useless.
I think that is nonsense. If the PL really wanted to Everton and Forest in the league because 3 unfashionable clubs got promoted then they could just have delayed the whole thing to next season. 99.9% of football fans would not give a toss and they are doing exactly the same thing with Man City whose charges have been on the books for ever. The idea that the PL would go to the trouble of deducting points only to then add them on again as part of a "conspiracy" is daft. As far as I can see no one apart from Luton and Liverpool fans seem to be paying any attention to any of this anyway
