Pasteurised shite , served in metal barrels with added nitrogen and co2 . Technically the same everywhere.
They stopped live guinness in England in the 1950s and in Ireland in the 1970s.

Most of the Guinness market in the UK was for bottled beer.

It continued to be 'live', as in bottle-conditioned into the 1980s.

That’s like asking which pub sells the best Coca Cola. It’s all the same. It comes out of a big metal bottle!

You do know that all Guinness sold in the UK is brewed in Dublin and it's in sealed metal casks so it really doesn't matter where you drink it.

Nothing to do with how it's stored, prepared and poured then? Tell that to Guiness!

You obviously know fuck all about how Guinness is presented - no surprise there, par for the course for you.

Don't like the stuff myself, but a rellie was until a few years ago a master brewer for them - as was the brother of a sadly lost fellow poster. There are some amazing new ways to deliver the perfect pint of Guinness- from a can

I was told that it was more about the cleanliness of the pipework it's pumped through in the pub in question.

So, while all this Guinness tastes better in Dublin stuff should be fucking nonsense - or no more than an intangible, romantic, perception* - it's possible that there's a tiny amount of logic to it.

                        Cheers, Jim

That’s exactly it , I have had some pretty average Guinness in Dublin ( mainly events tbf) but speaking to several pub owners when on the West coast recently they treat it like a fine wine.
The way the head overhangs the top of the glass with out running down the side defies logic….its bloody lovely.

Not really relevant, but in the 50s my late father-in-law was given Guinness as part of his treatlent for TB in a London hospital
