How many wins to stay up?

Looking at run-ins, all of us, Forest and Everton have decent fixtures still to play.

    Us:

    Man City (A)
    Brentford (H)
    Wolves (A)
    Everton (H)
    West Ham (A)
    Fulham (H)

    Forest:

    Wolves (H)
    Everton (A)
    Man City (H)
    Sheffield United (A)
    Chelsea (H)
    Burnley (A)

    Everton:

    Chelsea (A)
    Forest (H)
    Liverpool (H)
    Brentford (H)
    Luton (A)
    Sheffield United (H)
    Arsenal (A)

Everton's run in is probably the most difficult of the three, but they have a game in hand and four home games. Forest's last three games are about as good as you could wish for, as are our remaining home games.

If we assume Everton will lose a further four points, that puts us all on 25 points.

I reckon if any side get three wins they will probably stay up. We probably want Forest to beat Everton, given we still have to play them. You have to assume Everton will lose to Liverpool and Arsenal, which would leave them only three games in which to pick up points.

    All very interesting (and confusing!).

Don't count Brentford out of it

Arsenal will only beat Everton if they still have the title to play for. If they've got it wrapped up by then, or they're out of it then Everton will get at least at point. Surely you should know how these things work by now.

I'd be surprised if they didn't still have the title to play for - they're looking imperious at the moment, and City and Liverpool won't drop many points.

Shut up. Arsenal will still be playing for 2nd. That's makes a difference in the champions league and probably for players bonuses.

Everton will be deducted 3 points, they will appeal & this will be reduced to 1 point!

I like that both Forest and Everton still have to play Burnley & Sheffield United. If they are relegated by then hopefully, they'll be looking to upset a few on their way down.

I don't think Burnley last game is a good fixture, they've shown lately they're a decent team and though they'll be down by then I expect they'll want to give their fans something to cheer about in their last perm game. I fully expect them to beat Forest and hopefully help keep us up

Something I only learnt recently is how much Sheffield United fans dislike Nottingham Forest, easy journey on the main line I suppose. If they are getting relegated there is little they would like more than to help relegate Forest
