    Brought a swagger & confidence back to the club. In those few years on match days it was us against the world. A former PL manager of the year managing us in League Two, everything seemed possible with him, and Mick.

    I hope history is kind to Joe Kinnear.

      Good post. It was a big buzz to have him come in.
      Bad memory here. Did he walk out On Oxford? Or was he sacked before he came to us ?

      Did he take us down from league 1 and straight back up?

        IIRC he left Oxford for "health reasons", then turned up at KR about a day later

          Yeah, he was appointed Director of Football at first but then sacked Lil Fucillo and put himself in charge.

          We went down with a whimper but the next season was superb under him. The points tally he achieved, more often than not, wins that league. Although there was an outstanding Plymouth team in the league that year...

          We probably should have made the playoffs the following season in League One. And then he was sacked and it was all over.
