Everton second hearing will be before the end of this week.
Decision no more than a week later, so latest April 2nd (given two-day Easter break).
Prediction is anyone's guess, frankly, but based on on today, could be 4 points again.
We've just got to win 4 games out of the next 9 and do it ourselves. COYRRH.
Which then would lead me to believe that this is all just a pathetic charade* from the Prem to make it look like they're doing something before the regulator comes in. That they're not really wanting to do anything of real substance but merely make it look like they're doing something
Deducting 1 or 2 points would be such a ridiculous waste of everybody's time and money
They are in a slightly awkward position, because as I understand it the rules are going to change as they align with UEFA FFP rules in next year or so.
I think the new rules will be based around a club's spend not being allowed to be over a certain percentage of turnover. Or something like that. I'm sure that's the basis of UEFA's rules. Which does seem sensible but are punishments going to fit the 'crime' of breaching?
Who knows. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised at this stage if they got some points added back on rather than any taken away, with some tortuous logic used to justify it.
