very sad news indeed, RIP Ron. My very first game in 63 as a little lad was against Brentford, we lost 0-2 at the end of the game I ran on the pitch and Ron signed my newly purchased autograph book. that game, that day and Ron Baynham started me on my journey of being a hatter for life.

Great keeper, saw him late 50's, early 60's.
          Our best ever?

That's very sad news, as Ron played against Stoke City in the very first game I went to, in the 1962-63 season. My Dad wanted me to see Stanley Matthews play, but of course he didn't turn out, however he must have been pushing 50 by then! Ron must be up there as one of, if not the very best goalkeepers the club has ever had.

                            Possibly Frank Blunstone, aged 89.

He was playing when I saw my 1st Luton game back in 1962.
He was already a legend by then.
They say he had a great leap & was brilliant at crosses from corners.RIP Ron.
