    Forest points deduction

Being reported in the Guardian/Mirror/ GB News(?). I saw the Guardian report and read it twice, just to be sure. It says an announcement ‘is expected’ today. So whilst it is most likely accurate there’s still no official announcement.
Same for the Mirror and GB News…

And their report says “the BBC understands”. Maybe they listen to GB News?? As yet, still no official announcement - so I live in hope that they’ve missed a 0 off…. 🤞🤞

Bet Everton fans will be pissed off - surely iit should have been either 10 or 6 not 4?

The only reason I can see why it might be lower is if they breached the limit by less than Everton. The PL had already said with the 1st Everton case that they wanted some sort of formulaic deduction.

As far as I know though it hasn't been said what the extent of the breach was and so we will need to wait for the judgement. It's impossible to work out from their accounts because of various deductions they can make.

They are fuming. Think forest could have been a worse case.

I thought it was a worse case than Everton too. Everton have been shit and incompetent. Forest consciously cheated and have been arrogant

I have absolutely no sympathy with Everton, either, but their fans have got every right to be questioning this

                        +1

My understanding is the Everton breach was higher but due to stadium spending rather than player purchases.

The Forest case was simpler, and seemed to be a much more obvious case of on on field advantage.

Infrastructure costs for building the new stadium aren't included. Everton tried to claim that interest on some loans related to the stadium should also have been excluded. But the loans themselves stated they were for general running costs of the football club and Everton's argument was rejected
