Sad news, saw him a few years back, great line about Come Up and See Me getting his kids through uni and being his pension plan. RIP

My all-time favourite singer/songwriter - first saw him in 1973 with the original Cockney Rebel & saw him many times after that. Last saw him with his acoustic band at The Stables. Knew he had been battling cancer - very sad news.

City Hall St. Albans circa Judy Teen, 73 or 74?
Supported by the original Be Bop Deluxe, both great.

Absolutely wonderful artist, stole the show at Greenbelt in 1991. Loved his work - and Jim Cregan's accoustic guitar solo within Come up and see me is glorious...one of my favourite musical moments. Loved that old Cockney Rebel graffiti in Luton too!

            Rest in Peace, Mr Harley

And then there is this, of course. Magnificent

Yes, just seen this. I am fairly sure he was at school with Steve Wright, who also died recently.

The live album Face to Face is a great album. If you do not know it start with Tumbling Down.

Live at The Queensway Hall, early 70s, fantastic concert. A brilliant wordsmith and musician.... Coast of Amalfi was another touch of pure class.. RIP The Rebel.
