    AFC Bournemouth

getting battered at home to Liverpool. Are they really out of the relegation scrap? currently 9 points above us so seems unlikely we'll catch them although we do still have to play them twice.

It's certainly going to be a fascinating secind half of the season and I just hope that it doesn't get ruined by ridiculously late points deductions. The sooner everyone knows, the better - and preferably with no right of appeal in order not to drag it out.

Agreed, 9 teams left in the scrap yet. We have yet to have our run.

We just have to forget about any points deductions and concentrate on ourselves.

Well yes, that too! But I'm trying to not calculate Everton into my equations. We need to stay above Sheff Utd and Burnley and both Forest and Palace are well within catching distance. Essentially it's still in our own hands.

But they do have right to appeal don't they I think?

            There lies the conundrum..
If the season ends before any appeals, then yhose clubs( if relegated) can't appeal !

I read there was a chance a tentative date of 24th May for appeals and that any decisions need not be final until a premier league meeting in June where the relegated clubs hand back their premier league place.

No idea if the May date is a total guess but the spectre of reversals after the season is unpalatable.

I hope it's as simple as that. And actually yes, I'm sure they have a right top appeal, my comment was just wishful thinking. The flip side could be that any punishments handed out could be so late in the day that there effectiely becomes no right of appeal which would be an awful shame wouldn't it...
