    RIP Dad

My Dad took me to my first Luton game (aged 7, nearly 8) on Saturday 6th January 1973, a 1-1 draw with Orient. We sat in the Bobbers and it was love at first sight really. The noise, the floodlights coming on, the Ryan brothers playing head tennis during the game right in front of us (about the only thing I remember about the game itself!).

Over 50 years later I’m still going. Whilst not quite as keen as me (he was mad on golf) Dad came with me dozens of times over the years, most recently in the Conference). Unfortunately he became increasingly frail with Parkinson’s, and sadly passed away aged 86 two weeks ago. I’ve got so much to thank him for, and it includes my love of LTFC. Just wanted to pay tribute to him here.
    RIP my lovely Dad.

Sorry for your loss. RIP fellow Hatter.
      Lovely post.

My Dad took me to Vicarage Rd to see that lot for my first match. The rotter.

But I still loved him and I miss him. Love to younand yours.

Always hard no matter the age. I have known several people with Parkinson's over time.(retired carer) Quite often seems to be paired with dementia.
I used to sing-ish and dance with one of the old ladies if she got up in the night. Would have been in trouble if the boss found out, as "risk" to health. To hell with the fact, it was one of the only things that made her smile. Plus, it seemed to briefly give her a more relaxed balance.

Am glad you have happy memories of your dad and especially his early introduction to your lifelong hobby.
                    RIP
