    More product research, sorry

If you don't know anything about this by all means completely ignore or post gratuitous abuse, whatever, but if anyone does have any input it would be gratefully received and appreciated.

m'lle p fancies a treadmill. My suspicion is that this is a definite 'buy cheap, buy twice, or more' scenario. Ideally, then, the fewer components the better I'd have thought. However, all of the 'mat' type jobs seem to be walkers only, with max speeds of 6km/h. She can run at least 10 and I average minimum 12 so we'd be looking for something that maxes out at least 16 for a factor of safety.

Any knowledge out there? Brands, models, features to avoid? e.g. I don't reckon we need variable inclination and not having such could eliminate a potential failure mode.

    Cheers, Jim

I would suggest you get one that can incline, it makes so much difference.

Why a treadmill? Very boring. Slip some running trainers on, fire up the Walkman and pound the streets. Far more interesting.

I do. Depressingly less accessible for ladies. Plus she'd like to be able to jump on and smash out a 5k on a whim.

I went for a run last Tuesday and it was raining so hard I was wringing my gloves out when I got home. I'd like the flexibility of being able to stay at home on occasion.

If you're lucky there might be a Barbie & Ken treadmill left after Christmas

Gratuitous and funny if you wouldn't mind.

When I was at school a bloke in my year fell over on the treadmill but carried on holding on. The treadmill pulled down his trousers and pants in front of the whole class. It was a mixed-sex class to make it worse/funnier.

Can't help with treadmill advice other than if you fall over then just let go

              🤣

To be fair, it'll be at home so not the worst thing that could possibly happen but funny anyway.
