Remaining Flag Funds

Superb idea and organisation to get a large flag sorted for Locks! With some, or all, or another whip round, surely a massive tifo or traditional flag which can travel up the centre of the Kenny would be a great idea. Massively adds to the atmosphere and would no doubt inspire the team for the remainder of the season. Always thought a ‘Teams Like Luton’ would look pretty decent!

One of those discord people that hates outlaws has escaped...
I guess that’s subjective, you may get nothing from it, others might, ultimately could it create something which fans and players could get behind. The past two play off home semis the club have tried a similar idea with holding up the COYH which to some did or didn’t work as a visual. So I guess the club have tried to add to the atmosphere in the same context in our biggest games. I get we clearly have a smaller stadium to the likes of Newcastle, but they’ve probably created the best ‘atmosphere’ in that moment of the players coming out onto the pitch, better than anyone in the Prem. Just an idea anyway lads.
Sorry SML wasn't meant as a criticism just a genuine question ... I personally am not sure what happens prior to kick off affects the atmosphere for the rest of the match, if that was the case the Scousers would never lose at home as the singing of YNWA is very inspiring but after that Anfield is as quiet as the rest of the prem grounds except maybe ours and Palace... just my thoughts
Don’t worry mate, no criticism taken. An interesting point about Liverpool though… pretty sure they’ve lost one home game since 2017 apart from when no crowds during covid (and no atmosphere) during that period they lost 6 in a row! Palace too have created something quite unique for the Prem, and even Arsenal have got something going which has improved the Emirates, and performances on the pitch have improved alongside Small margins!

There have already been two changes to the plans for the surplus. As it was originally stated that any surplus would go to charity, I think that it would be wrong to change to another flag at this stage.

Would work nicely between the two pillars directly behind the goal. As for the atmosphere, obviously each to their own, personally think it looks class what Newcastle have done on that level. Clearly a different type of stadium, but same principles apply. Just an idea anyway
Yeah as I said in my original post, another whip round as an option to raise the funds if it was confirmed the surplus is going to charity, which again is another great gesture. Leave it with me, if enough think it’s a decent idea and we can raise the money. I’ll speak with the club first to find out if it’s possible and the logistics of it. If it can be done then I’ll start sorting it out, no probs.
How about guys collecting money near the programme sellers, some people don’t know what you guys are doing and would donate cash on the day. I’d love to help but in the pub till 2.40!!!
Sticks and stones may break my bones but people saying "guys" will absolutely devastate me as I'm a huge fanny. It's ok though, I've got everything sorted in my head after this weekends tragic events and I only let really important stuff like this affect me.
A lot of people no longer carry cash when they go to football. Maybe it's an age thing but I would never go out without cash.
In Bedford, some of the beggars have card machines nowadays and I saw one a few weeks ago who had a piece of cardboard, next to his cap that he was collecting money in, with his bank details on it
