                          In olden days, the letters EX denoted a Norfolk registration, just as MJ, BM and NM were Bedfordshire. They were preceded by another letter. Norfolk always skipped the S.

                          As a child I saw BRA 34 and thought it hilarious.

                          This was just after the law changed regarding having a man waving a red flag walking in front of you. I'm sure Crumps will remember.

                            There was a removals driver (for Edwards I think) who alternated between YTM xxx and YBM xxx parked near my route to junior school, and there would be a chorus of 'your bum' or 'your tum'.
