Are they stuck on with glue - that is at least the fifth time that the stumps have been hit during this World Cup but the bails have not come off.|

We've gone from the slightest puff of wind blowing bails off to needing a full on sledgehammer to dislodge them. Today's example was a full on whack at the bottom of the stump and not even a joggle.|

Apparently there have been 33 batsmen who should have been out bowled in this tournament but five of them have escaped because the bails didn't come off !|

I think because they have flashy lights and 5hit they're heavier than normal. |

I thought that but, if they can't sort out an answer to it, they need to do away with the lights. An alternative would be to change the rules so that, if the stumps are hit, it is out even if the bails don't come off but I am not a fan of having different rules at different levels of the game. Another thing about the lights is that a couple of bowlers have been injured after treading on the cover used to put the wires in for the lighting and sound equipment.|

Something is not right. |
Did they get the local fairground folk to use the coconut shy method?

A couple of posts on the BBC commentary |
Innocent Abroad: I'm just an American, but I'd have thought that on the list of things bails should do, lighting up comes lower on the list than coming off when the ball whacks the stumps. I mean, lighting up is cool; don't get me wrong.
I understand that the electronics in the stumps and the bails make them heavier. Why canít the groove the bails sit in just be made shallower? Wonít that fix the problem?
Whatever the answer, something needs to be sorted out !
