EU proposals for Vegetable burgers and sausages

    Posted by C on 14/5/2019, 12:56:55

They would like them to be renamed vegetable "discs" and vegetable "tubes"

Quite a few sites carried this story last week, NY Times website and the Guardian included.

It's the sort of stuff that makes people moan and groan about the EU, irrespective of whether the proposals are carried forward or not.

Very confusing keeping up with the outraged right these days

Greggs create a Vegan Sausage Roll. "Snowflake Armageddon is upon us! Why can't the Vegan Fascists they leave us good British meat eaters alone? Get your own food names Vegan scum shoving your food down our children's throats"

EU propose relabeling Vegan Sausages etc. "Hands of our traditional Great British Veggie Burgers you EU Fascist scum. We will fight you for our right to serve our children Great British Vegan Sausage Roll's"

Tempted to say EU is a joke but it's not funny when member states have to waste money implementing this sort of nonsense. Leave now.

Why did you wait over a month to post it?

Like never before, the BBC's impartiality has been questioned numerous times over the last 3 years.

Unfortunately, the UK is beginning to mimic the USA and political commentary is becoming dangerously polarised in both the media and elsewhere.

When is comes to NF, one man's Winston Churchill is another man's moron, he should've answered the questions put to him, rather than immediately throw his toys out of the pram.

Not a good situation for us to be in, NF is trying to put forward the notion of Fake news, as espoused by Donald Trump....and some people are taking notice of it.

Iím not sure that it was a spontaneous chucking of toys out of the pram. This is Farridge weíre talking about remember - heís probably gone on there with the intention of causing a scene - thatís how he operates.

The people are dafter than ever. That's the reason trump,Boris and that gormless gutter snake exist.

Well that maybe but Trump has successfully introduced the notion of "fake news" as a thing and that idea or notion is now international, so NF is using that tactic too.

Actually, despite becoming increasingly frustrated, Farage did answer the questions put him, in most cases much more clearly and concisely than the average politician.

              As never before?

Every single ruling party since the 50s has claimed bias against them, at the same time as the opposition has done the same.

Well yes, we've always had the old Punch and Judy
aspect of British politics but this fake news malarkey and the accusations made against respected news organisations like the BBC, is something not really seen before.

Because not everyone spends every hour of every day "googling" brexit and creaming themselves when they find new content, unlike you.

              It is a bit ridiculous

Still, I look forward to eating the chlorinated chicken in a few years when we lower our food standard requirement in a desperate attempt to sign a quick fix free trade deal with the US
