    Bandwagon Jumpers

Posted by SKF Clockwatcher on 14/5/2019, 9:06:37

With our recent success comes the inevitable swarm of bandwagon jumpers. Have any of them been to Matlock away I ask you? Or had their car keyed in Alfreton? Are we happy for them to join the throng or should they be chased off?

Don't remember too many glory hunters at the 1-1 draw at Salisbury back in September 2009 -amazing to see where both clubs are now.

From memory, they went into administration a day or two before that game. That club went out of existence and a new club was formed which, as I am sure Exile would tell you, is managed by none other than Mr Stephen Edward Claridge, formerly of this Parish.

There were about 100 of us at Sheff Weds away in League Cup about 1986? If you didn't attend that then you shouldn't be allowed to attend now.

Of course - I have seen every FA Trophy game that Luton have ever played !

Were you at Weling for the PSF when Mark Stein scored the only goal of the game just before half time ?

If we dont "let them" it'll be pretty empty in Power Court with on 10,100 spectators.

You are forgetting that football is not just a religion, it is also entertainment. With the quality of football we are playing, it's no surprise that we are packed out at KR every week, it's fantastic entertainment.

                        Correct L.

My ALL time low (on the pitch) LTFC day.

Tanked 5-1 in front of just 382 at Brunton Park, inc 126 lunatic mad hatters.

I was one of the 33 on your BT coach.

Even more pissed off when I missed last orders by 5 mins! in Barton, upon arriving home.

Hard to believe that was only 6 years ago - a WORLD away from where we are now!

Blame Pyper - I bet we had to wait more than five minutes for him to collect up all of his flags - from memory, they were put up on the barriers on the unused terrace behind the goal.

Northampton at home in the cup around 2008 and Peterborough away (2001) were the two for me that if you missed then you cannot call yourself a proper fan

I missed that one. But it was painful to listen to on the radio, only good thing was the hope that then new boss John Still would start to turn it around.

                              Scouting wasn't it?

Very unusual I bet that hasn't happened many times down the years the manager missing a game?

dreadful, dreadful game, but a great goal from Pelly and a header from Gray the only good bits from the game.
