    Regardless they did well

Lot of inexperience out there & it showed at the end. I think most will push on & without doubt achieved much more than most of us predicted. FFS if they'd have had the benefit of an impartial ref they could well be playing again on Sunday.

Beaten by the better team but for such a young team they did damn well.

Bodes well for the future, though now the stupid will lavish all sorts of stupid on them to really put the pressure on.

Yep that's what will now happen

Thing is the next World Cup is going to be shit - in Qatar in winter. So we're gong to have to wait a very long time for the next decent one

I reckon they should do away with all other competitions and have the World Cup every two years. But they won't do that of course

          Yes, it's all sadly predictable.

I'll remember this team and manager though for giving me a feeling for England as a football team again. Something I've not had for a long time.

I've not felt anything for the England team for about 10 years previous to this lot

I agree - they made me like them again

Good bloke as manager and a good bunch playing for us

Alas, they couldn't go one step further. I don't think I'll ever see them play in a Final in my lifetime

After years of following England all over, the last but one England game I went to was a defeat to Russia, in that stadium, 2007. (Rooney at left wing back) The last one was a defeat against Croatia at Wembley to miss Euro 2008. (Wally with the brolly) Gave up the members club etc after that....
Tonight would have exercised a lot of demons...
But... this summer will been magic watching the young team. Will be remembered fondly with ‘90 & ‘96 in years to come.
Plus what we’ve been through the last 10 years, it’ll never hurt as much with England any more

Probably not, but all of a sudden it doesn't look completely Impossible . . .

Exceeded expectations. But, then, once they did that you kind of still expected them to go one more step as the expectation naturally rose

France would have beaten us on Sunday but it would have been a good occasion

            Fair points

Assuming Sunday's ref plays it straight then hat's off to the frogs.

Them & the Belgium's have been the best teams by far.
