Wont be taking up contract offer then ...

Hearts have completed their fifth summer signing with the capture of Luton Town midfielder Olly Lee. The 26-year-old has signed a pre-contract and agreed a three-year deal at Tynecastle Park. He joins winger Jake Mulraney, midfielder Bobby Burns, plus strikers Uche Ikpeazu and Steven MacLean as new arrivals ahead of next season.Lee, the son of former Newcastle United and England midfielder Robert, rejected the chance of a new deal at Luton to move to Edinburgh after holding talks with the Hearts manager Craig Levein. He helped Luton gain promotion to England's League One this season, playing 43 games and scoring seven goals. He earned a reputation down south as a cultured passer of the ball and was previously on the books at West Ham United, Birmingham City and Barnet.

Hearts have stolen a gem there. I don't think we'll be able to replace his poise, intelligence and skill on the ball at this level nor his tenacious tackling. Will we ever see a player as gifted as Olly Lee grace the Kenilworth Road pitch again?

Even more so than his wonderful goals I will always remember THAT game against Colchester away last season. WOW.

In all seriousness he did improve a lot this season and slotted in nicely to the diamond but I think we can and should be aiming for better next year.
