I was told that Gary Sweet and the Council were having weekly meetings with the Council months ago

if this is so why is it "unfathomable" as to what is happening? he must know

If not what pressure is being put on Sian Timmoney and Hazel Simmons

Also the Council Planning dept is way out of its depth on this relying on Consultants who haven't got a clue about the feeling in Luton on this

You clearly do not understand the dealings that go on-some of which may need to be a bit hush hush

I have contacted the council planning department asking that they put information on their website as to the current status of the application. I think this is a reasonable request given that so many of us contacted the council in writing to support the application.

The Council have to bring in specialist consultants where needed don't they?

The size of these applications is huge. In fact, they are probably the biggest the planning dept has ever had.
The outside help that has been brought in is to help the planning dept make sure they do not muck this up as they have a duty to be independent and therefore the bastards at C&R and their legal team don't kick this out.
It is taking age and as James says some of these meetings with the council, not the planning dept, has to be hush-hush so as not to give the other side an advantage.
It is taking an age and we are all starting to get pissed off, but let's remember if the now departed Ford hadn't raised his objections via C&R we could have been looking forward to our new stadium.
Keep in focus who the real enemy is here.
As Gary stated in the programme last night in so many words our voices may still need to be heard if the determination of the applications is challenged. Be ready for when the call comes, IF it comes!

A bit worrying, someone from Maulden has written to the Luton News suggesting that 'that large piece of ground along St. Mary's Road(sic)' would be ideal for a bus station. He claims to travel into town bi-monthly to attend Lodge meetings. Surely as a Mason he must be aware of the ownership of the land and the club's plans?
I fel a letter starting to form.

No doubt that Ken has bags of time on his hands he feels the need to write in such drivel.

...or that the town already has a brand new bus terminus outside the station!

Or that the lodge is nowhere near there and hasn't been for absolutely years.

It must be still in Luton, and the Masons are known for having whole hands in a great many pies. It is stretching belief to think he doesn't know who owns the land, and the plans for it.
