The problem with that is that the potential recipients who need the aid will suffer. Why the fukk can those responsible be made to pay rather than the poor in need. Bums in the fukking butter jobs for morally bankrupt wrong `uns.

        Another two faced charity organisation.
Lets hope they didn't take any of the Presidents club offerings.

The crying shame about all of that - aside from the scandal of course - is there will doubtless be lots of 'and that's why I don't support charities/that's why we should end foreign aid' now from people who actually don't want to do anything to help others outside their own interests.

          I imagine.

The ending of foreign aid question will most certainly be high on the agenda now.So we should expect sentiments like "why should we give India aid when they have nuclear weapons" All very sad, and not taking anything away from the scandal.

Yep, and I'm willing to bet there are a very large number of very good people who work for and support Oxfam that currently feel like they've been kicked in the teeth and have had some of the pride in their contribution severely dented as a result.

                Very sad situation all round.

Yup. Same can be said about the church (CoE and Catholic), the BBC, football clubs etc etc

It would appear that there are an incredible amount of people who use their "power" to feed their own appetites

I heard a very interesting discussion on this subject yesterday. It was suggested that with organisations in the West clamping down on unsavoury types getting jobs and a much more rigorous vetting process, these vile perverts are attaching themselves to aid organisations, particularly those working in Africa. It seems the vetting is loose to say the least and the opportunities for these filth unlimited. Very sad.

That's a horrendous, and entirely plausible, scenario unfortunately.

Though in my experience NGOs which go into conflict areas - the likes of Amnesty International and Global Witness - are very, very careful about who goes anywhere near their work and their campaigns, and rightly so. Perhaps because their work can be dangerous they are more cautious?

I believe that Christian Aid operate to the highest standards of security too.

But of course there are hundreds and hundreds of organisations which may not do so.

                              Scary.

You should see some of the people the C of E allow into positions of authority......

I watched something a few weeks back about a young lad who was a nonce, got lifted as he landed back in the country for Christmas. He spent his time working round the poor communities in Asia as a ruse to abuse kids.

Can't remember what happened to him but I hope the #### is being kicked senseless every day for the rest of his life
