The last time I went to Cheterfield was a very foggy evening game when it was impossible to see the goal at the other end. When was that and what was the score?

I remember going to Saltergate in the -30 season. Jamie Ward got 2 for them and we got a last minute equaliser that Ropes scored but the way Conrad Logan came charging towards us I honestly thought he'd got it!

My only trip was to their last ever game at the old stadium. They scored in the last minute to stay up!

That was an interesting day! They had a huge pitch invasion and loads came over to us and us and them seemed to break out in front annoys applause as we congratulated them on their effort. No hint of trouble at all!

I've been to Saltergate loads of times (not all with Luton) as it was close to where I used to live. These include the fog game, this last game of the season and our last minute boxing day winner by Enoch.

That was in 2004. They didn't move for another six years after that. We paid two further visits to that ground after that game - both on Boxing Day.

4 March 1997 and, as stated below, 1-1. Someone I know rang his Dad, who was at home listening to it on the radio, to find out who had scored our goal.

I have seen us play them up there seven times since then.

I was with my Chesterfield mate and his Dad in the main stand. No idea how that wasn’t called off.

I was with my Chesterfield mate in the side terrace near the half way line for that match. Still couldn't see either goal!!!! He's also stood in the away terrace with me at Saltergate too!

The Fancott gets a load of business after I took the Chesterfield mates for a few beers and a meal after. They then told their Sheffield mates, then Leeds, Barnsley and so it goes on. Any game towards London they head there before or after. I’m gonna put an invoice in for some commission 😍

On a completely different note I'm sure your name got mentioned in a conversation I overheard about you frequenting the Seven Stars in Rugby. I may well have have misheard though.

yes 1-1 Thorpe scored. I remember having to ask feuer if we scored and even he didn't know and Kevin Davies scored for them.
