On a completely different note, is this a scam?

I just had a call from +441202165537 claiming yo be from O2. It sounded very legit but told me I needed a new SiM card (talking of which firs anyobe know how he is. Last i heardhecwas very poorly but that was manymonths ago). They went in to say that my current SiM was being made obsolete shortly and that tomorrow ill receive a new one. That sounded dodgy, but then they sent me a couple of texts claiming to be from O2 like I have had in the past. So, some things ring true but some things definitely not. I hung up.
