Forest owner is using every tool to keep his team in the league, someone like Clattenburg, who has a voice due to his previous roles and what I suspect having personal issues with his past status with the FA is a smart move to influence refers decisions. It's just natural when sompieone like him sits in the stand and referees know he is there, I suggest some referee will give the benefit of dought to the loudest, it's a indiscreet influence
Darren England, I think is a good referee and have seen him rise through the leagues like Luton, we had him often when in the conference and again in my opinion was way above 98% of refs in that league. I do not think any major decision he made had a outcome of the result , but what I did notice he refraimed from little decisions like fouls and yellow cards that gave Nottingham Forest confidence....
So In writing above I am concusious we did it for a couple of decades in the 70s and 80s, when Arthur McMullen, a Dunstable head teacher, league referee, vice chairman of FIFA (I can not remember 100% but think he lost out to Stanley Rouse and Joćo Havelange for president) and FIFA referee chairman, used to regularly attend matches
Enough said being a oldie I rabbit on to much
