Forest had the better chances (what an effort from that free kick btw), and we were saved by a brilliant goal line clearance from Burke (and a vital one by Ogbene in the second half.
I thought Kabore did reasonably well considering he's not the most defensive wing back in the world and he was playing on the left of the back 3. Slightly out of position a few times but as I say, reasonably ok.
I thought Pelly was outstanding tbh, he was winning balls, making smart passes, pressing well. I don't think it was deliberate to push him into the hoardings but it was a shame to see him come off.
Barkley unlucky not to have scored one of if his handful of early shots.
I thought we looked a lot more organised defensively, lost our way a bit at times in the second half but given all the reshuffles I think it was expected.
Interesting to see in the second half that when we had the ball Burke was effectively playing as a right back while Ogbene became a winger and Townsend loitered to cut in and cross. Very strong on that side and created a lot of overloads.
What a moment for Berry. He is a great goalscorer and I'm glad he got the goal. I still think there's a Pelly banger somewhere this season as well.
I thought Forest had done enough and the game was going to fizzle out. The crowd was flat and we were struggling to create chances, but we always have a dangerous corner in our locker.
The ref was shite today for both sides. Just bizarre decisions. Booking Kabore for a great tackle where he clearly won the ball, and giving a foul against Barkley for sliding in when he also won the ball.
He then didn't give a foul when Kabore tripped someone which was possibly the most obvious foul of the game.
In his credit he did try to play advantage so I suppose that's nice.
Also good to see now the hangers on have stopped going I have a bit more room next to my seat and it wasn't a crush risk under the main stand.
Anyway, a good point, keeps us in touch.
