It did. All the mums and dads used to stand in that stand when we used to play there as kids & youths. It kills me to see what they did to it - destruction not renovation. Pitch had an old tarmac velodrome track around it. The wall of the adjacent railway shed was at least 50-60 foot high in solid stone blocks. Whole grounds were provided by the railway works as leisure facilities for the workers - football, cycling, bowls, tennis etc etc. A fantastically imposing place. Will send you what I dig up! Cheers.
