This reminds me of the German and Czech "Woodcraft Indians" I discovered as a teen, and I personally envy them the freedom they have (or at least, had) in "playing Indian" without all the baggage that the same behaviour has been laden with in North America.
I read a lot of Seton's books, and those of Nessmuck and a host of related authors. Those were inspiration for my later interest in primitive living-skills. I think there was a lot to gain from the ideas expressed by these writers, and by the practice of their craft ideas.
