Many participants in Primative Mountain Man Rendezvous wear loincloths, and many of their suppliers make and sell hand-woven loincloths. Old fashioned lindsey-woolsey is often used, and I like the feel of it very much. Definitely better than leather in hot weather! Google "Mountain Man Rendezvous" for those suppliers. They often call them breechclouts.
: I tend to prefer cloth ones myself, at
: least for the styles I like to wear. Cotton
: lycra if I can find it, other comfortable
: knits (or sometimes wovens) if not.
