You should try an Ardbeg 10-Year-Old, a good entry-level single malt (one I drink.)
I treated myself this year for my 75th and bought a bottle directly from the Ardbeg Distillery shop at £50.
If you see Ardbeg 10yr old on the optics, try a dram.
A single bottle of 55-year-old Bowmore (Islay) has just sold for £562,500.
The gin must have been 'Botanist' a very nice gin, the 22 botanicals are all picked/gathered on Islay.
I have an original rectangular bottle unopened, the bottles now are round.
I think the shape was changed because of complaints about taking up too much room on the optics or something to do with shelf space.
We have a Rum Distillery in Port Ellen too.
The Islay Rum has been producing Rum on the Isle of Islay since 2022. The distillery is housed in the Old Lemonade Factory in Port Ellen, which has been renovated.
Port Ellen Distillery to open again, it was closed in 1983
