It'd be pretty easy to verify the people voting are actually who they are because you'd have to have a SSN. And you could even do the credit check verification questions too. It'd eliminate alot of double votes if it was all computerized.
you do mail in voting, and the integrity of the process is completely comprimised. the secret ballot is out. you will have activist goons going door to door to "help" people fill out their ballots... you will have unhinged loons demanding to see how their spouse or partner is voting. you will have ballots completed by people other than the registered party... as well as ballots completed accurately that may or may not make it back and be tabulated. the whole thing is a con and shame on anyone pushing for it.
There is absolutely no need for widespread mail-in voting, beyond normal absentee ballot provisions. Other than to commit election fraud, that is.
